Authority: | Teesside University |
Nature of contract: | Not applicable |
Procedure: | Not applicable |
Short Description: | Teesside University’s telephony services are primarily based upon two platforms: •Unify iSDX telephone system supporting approximately 2,000 telephones. •Microsoft Skype for Business (SfB) solution supporting approximately 200 telephones. Additionally, the University has invested in Microsoft Teams for their Unified Communication requirements for staff and students, supporting 800 academic staff and 4000 students. A recent assessment was completed on the risks associated with the continued use of its aging iSDX system. Accordingly, it is necessary for the University to commence a process to remove the dependency upon these systems. The University now wishes to appoint a supplier to assist with the implementation of its telephone service including: •The Provision of a replacement voice, associated applications and services to support between 1,320 and 2,200 users. The balance of users will use Microsoft Teams for their telephony requirements (these will be the more agile users). To accommodate the above, the proposed solution shall be designed to support all 2,200 users – but user licensing shall initially be provided for 1,320 (60%) of users. The Bidder shall base support pricing upon a three year contract period with two optional one year extensions (i.e. 3 + 1 + 1) and then indefinitely on a 12 month basis. |
