4. Description: Lathes. The Faculty of Engineering and Environment at Northumbia delivers the teaching programme for Mechanical Engineering. The Faculty wish to purchase six manual lathes to support their teaching of hands on practical engineering skills on this programme as part of an investment in practical teaching for our students. We wish to purchase equipment that is suitable for student use and the six machines must be identical so we can teach student groups on the equipment. We have designed a space for the equipment so the footprint of the equipment will be an important factor for us. We need to teach on these machines during Semester One so a short timeline for delivery is required so we can start teaching as soon as possible.
