II.2.4) Description of the procurement:
The University is looking to bring our lab fume discharge arrangements into compliance with current and forthcoming legislation, standards, codes, etc. Objectives include bringing all of the lab fume discharge systems and sub-systems into a set of Variable Air Volume groups with validated and optimised stack locations, heights, and efflux velocities. Integral project objectives: completion of the changes without any need for modifications to the existing asbestos-containing ductwork routes; compliance with fume cupboard standard BS EN 14175 and EA Technical Guidance Note IPPC H4.
Work should optimise off site construction opportunities to minimise the disruption to existing lab users and operations.
