4. Description: Modular and portable buildings. The manufacture, integration and commissioning of a moveable atmospheric observatory at the University of Leeds.
The requirement is a container shall be used as a base of operations for a cloud radar and several additional meteorological instruments: a lidar, radiometer and ceilometer. The vision is that the radar, lidar and radiometer will operate from the roof of the container and can be lowered and raised through openings in the roof to allow for easy access for maintenance and the ability to stow/store for shipping.
The container should be based on a standard or high cube 20ft shipping container design that is easily transported by HIAB type trucks on UK Roads.
The requirement does not include the supply of the instruments.
