As part of the EU consortium grant IM4CA we are in charge of making greenhouse gas measurements in the Congo peat area using aircraft. The flights will be made up of chartered flights and flights of opportunity. Chartered flights would fly from Kinshasa to Mbandaka and back. Close to Mbandaka the aircraft would descend in a spiral from approximately 4 km height to approximately 300 m above surface. Flights of opportunity are regular passenger flights Kinshasa-Mbandaka-Gemena. The equipment would take one seat. The scientific equipment would need to be installed in the airplane including an air inlet via which outside air will be directed to the greenhouse gas analysis system.

This method of contracting will also provide greater security and safety for our employees in the event of health crises or any other crisis event.
