II.1.3) Type of contract: WORKS
II.1.4) Short description: NEUPC, in collaboration with Durham, Newcastle, Northumbria, Sunderland and Teesside Universities is looking to put in place a framework agreement for the provision of minor building works on university premises. Although this requirement originated and is being driven by the North East Universities, it is recognised that other NEUPC members may have a need for this agreement. The agreement has therefore been expanded to capture all NEUPC members. The call-offs from this framework will be predominantly refurbishment schemes but there may be the odd, low value new build as well. The nature of the works will mean that most schemes are delivered in live buildings. Knowledge of the Universities and their working practices is therefore essential, as is the ability to be on site within hours of a request, to resolve any urgent issues – whether during the works or post completion.
